The Workshop
Mallorca Based
All pieces are conceived, prototyped, and finished in our workshops on the island.
Working with Balearic earth underfoot grounds our practice in locality — the light, the stone, the salt air all find their way into the work. Each commission begins with material selection, where we source locally wherever possible, choosing for grain, patina potential, and individual character.
Handcrafted Process
We don’t mass-produce. Every piece is made by hand — welded, shaped, sanded, and finished through a deliberate process that respects the material’s inherent qualities.
Patinas are developed over days, not applied in minutes. Joints are considered structurally and visually. The result is work that carries the evidence of its making.
Where Architecture Meets Craft
Our designs draw from architectural principles — proportion, tension, negative space — but are realised through the intimacy of handcraft. A table is not just a surface; it’s a dialogue between load and lightness. A screen is not a divider; it’s a composition of shadow and material. We design objects that inhabit spaces with quiet authority.
Materials
All materials are sourced locally and consciously selected for their individual character, qualities and purpose. Sourcing wood from responsibly managed forests guarantees that these ecosystems remain viable.
Natural materials: marble, iron, wood, linen, stone. Each with its own character and incredible beauty. Marble ages with grace. Iron oxidises and darkens. Wood reveals its grain.
Each item is crafted by hand in the workshops in Mallorca, grounding the vision in Balearic earth, tactility and timeless form.

When you’re ready for something new, we’ll take back your STARK Design piece for it to be recycled into future pieces.
Finishes
All of our designs are hand-finished according to the client’s custom requests. All finishes are applied by hand in our Mallorca workshop, ensuring each piece carries a unique, unrepeatable quality.
Using powder pigments, waxes, stains and patinas, we can achieve a wide variety of luxury, durable, customised finishes, blending technical precision with artistic vision to create compelling surface treatments that honour the raw character of each material.
We offer advice on product care and are happy to receive products back at our workshop for any maintenance work or alterations that the client may wish for over the years.
